<description>I am a photographer for the Orlando Sentinel in Florida. A reporter and I found our way to Itabura in 1986 while doing a story on the highway and a nearby World Bank funded development. How surprised I was to see your documentary. If I remember right the Surui had reoccupied some of their lands that had been turned in a coffee plantation. He told us of the first contacts with the civilazados and his wish to return to the old ways. Though he wore a soccer t-shirt as we were preparing to leave he appeared with a white, halo-like head piece of feathers which he offered to our reporter. So glad to see that he is still around, so sorry to see the state of the foresta. I visit via google earth and am horrorfied at the rapid change. Thanks for your work. George Skene
